Every social network and news program is buzzing right now with the announcement made by long-time celebrity talk show host Regis Philbin. He has announced that this will be his final year hosting the Regis and Kelly show. What a great time for him to make this announcement. I say this because he is currently in a "18/9" personal year. He started his "18/9" year on his last birthday August 25, 2010. The "9" year is a year of completion. It is usually the best time to end a job, a time for clearing up an loose ends, a relationship of any sort may end at this time, and a time to prepare yourself for positive transitions in the future. The "9" allows you to assess what has worked over the past few years, and what has not worked. It is also the best time to integrate lessons learned in the past with current plans. In fact, Regis has probably made this decision a lot earlier than the past few months. Regis has done so many wonderful things in media, and full of talent. We wish him all the best on his journey.
